ANR project Hilbert geometry on any valued field (HilbertXField)
The ANR project «Hilbert geometry on any valued field» has begun in 2023. The aim is to explore existing and new situations where Hilbert geometry can be defined and used beyond the classical case of convex bodies in real affine spaces. As for now, we have identified different cases, ranging from complex projective space to tropical number, through p-adic numbers or real closed fields, that seems of highest interest.
With 16 mathematicians, it comprises teams from French universities, CNRS and INRIA:
